You're Feeling Suffocated Because You're Not Creating
The quiet cost of ignoring your creative voice
There are so many different perspectives in this world that people gain through artistry, whether by creating their own work or being inspired by someone else. Art creates a free space for expression, curiosity, and knowledge.
Not to be cheesy, but we were all born to create. When there’s no room for self-expression or nothing to inspire you or feed your knowledge, it’s easy to feel suffocated. Everyone deserves the time to express themselves in different ways, whether it’s writing, art, music, or reading. The list can go on. These are all forms of artistry that connect us while also allowing us to grow individually.
They offer new perspectives while feeding us knowledge that takes us to different worlds. That kind of passion makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger. And that’s the point, creating and learning bring passion and purpose.
If you’re feeling a little down, pick up a pen and paper and jot down a few ideas. Journal, write a poem, read a fun article, create a random collage, start a coloring book, paint, or try a writing prompt. In short, these are all ways to free your mind and brain through creativity. You’ll feel lighter once you get your ideas out and start working through the fantastic thoughts that are locked up, just waiting to come to the surface.
For you and for me, please start creating. Trust me when I say the world wants to see it!
xoxo
